Our Story

The place you come back to.

Ankerplatz means anchorage in German — literally the place where ships drop anchor. It's a quiet, deliberate word for a quiet, deliberate kind of welcome.

We sit on Sam Nujoma Avenue, just steps from the historic Woermann House. Inside, there's the warmth of a wine bar that's been waiting for you. Outside, a courtyard wrapped in palms and fairy lights — one of the most photographed corners in Swakopmund.

Our kitchen pulls from the wood-fire: thin crust pizza, peri peri heat, Oryx Pastashuta with mince from the Namibian veld, springbok, fresh seafood from the coast we live on.

Wherever you go, you come back here.
